Pooja Hegde rejects Mani Ratnam’s Film

Pooja Hegde has crowned the Second runner up at Miss Universe India 2010 and she made her movie debut with Mugamoodi which was Mysskin’s Superhero flick with Jiiva. The movie ended up with bad results and after that she has not been seen in any Tamil film. This Mumbai girl has signed two Telugu films with Naga Chaitanya and Varun Tej. Naga Chaitanya’s Oka Laila Kosam has completed its shoot while back and is gearing up for a release while Varun Tej’s Mukunda is in final stages of shoot.

The latest update is that Pooja Hegde has been approached for a Tamil movie in the direction of Mani Ratnam in which Mammootty's son Dulquar Salman will play the main lead. The actress apparently rejected the offer as she has signed a new film with Hrithik Roshan in the direction of Ashutosh Gowariker titled Mohenjo Daro. She has allotted bulk dates as the movie is a big budget entertainer and takes long time for shoot. The makers have earlier considered actresses like Alia Bhatt, Nitya Menon etc to play the leading lady in this film but no one has been finalized for the role. More updates on the leading lady soon
