Monday Report: Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay

This Diwali witnessed the biggest clash in the history of Bollywood as the most awaited films Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay released. Both the films carried massive expectations and have been the most awaited films. Karan Johar directed Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma played the lead roles in the movie. Ajay Devgn directorial has been titled Shivaay and Ajay Devgn, Erika Kaar, Sayesha Saigal played the lead roles.
After a stupendous run at the box-office during the weekend, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil maintained strength even on the weekdays all over. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil collected Rs 17.75 crores on its first Monday and it collected Rs 53.35 crores dominating Shivaay. However Shivaay too picked up because of the positive word of mouth and the movie collected Rs 17.35 crores making the total reach Rs 45.91 crores. Trade analysts predict that both the films will end up as decent box-office grossers.
