Jaya Bachchan Slams Happy New Year

It’s already known that Bachchan’s have a very good relation with Sharukh Khan and his family. They have shared the screen in several movies in the past. Sharukh Khan’s latest movie Happy New Year has been released on the eve of Diwali and the movie crossed 100 crore mark in three days which is a record in Indian Film History. Sharukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Abhishek Bachchan and Vivan Shah played the main leads in the movie and it has been directed by Farah Khan. Amithabh Bachchan’s wife Jaya Bachchan watched the film recently and responded strong about the movie. 

Jaya Bachchan has attended a literature festival in Mumbai and when she has been asked about Happy New Year, she responded saying “Happy New Year is a nonsense and it has been one of the bad movies I have seen this year. I said the same to Sharukh as well. I watched it for Abhishek as he was a part of the movie. I am not into these stupid films and that is the reason I kept away from films”. Happy New Year has been directed by Farah Khan and the movie has been produced by Sharukh Khan on Red Chillies Entertainments banner. Happy New Year has received mixed reviews and the movie has dropped down after the first weekend.  However Sharukh has entered the safe zone even before the release of the film.
