Special 26 goes to South

Neeraj Pandey has made some critically acclaimed movies like A Wednesday and Special 26 which have minted huge money along with the received reception. A Wednesday has already made in South with Kamal Haasan and Venkatesh which grossed average. However, now Special 26 has been planned to be remade in all the four South languages. Akshay Kumar, Anupham Kher, Kajal Agarwal and Manoj Bajpayee played the main leads in this thriller which was released in 2013. Now after more than an year plans have been started to remake the movie in South.

As per the latest update, popular Actor, Producer and Director Thiagarajan has bought the remake rights of the movie from Viacom 18 Motion Pictures for all the languages Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Confirming this, he said “This time, I grabbed the golden opportunity of remaking ‘Special 26′ in all four south Indian languages and I will have the honour of directing this mammoth movie in all four south Indian languages”. He also has the remake rights of “Queen”. As per the latest update, Thiagarajan will produce and direct the movie. The movie is still in scripting stage and the further details will be announced soon. Thiagarajan has also bought the remake rights of Bollywood blockbuster Queen.
