Chetan Bhagat to Co- produce Half Girlfriend

Chetan Bhagat is the costliest writer of India till date. All his novels have been adopted into films and they ended up collecting huge commercial figures. Now the latest update is that Chetan Bhagat will end up sharing profits for his next adaptation Half Girlfriend. Chetan Bhagat’s new novel Half Girlfriend has been released released and it has been planned to be made into a film. Ektha Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures is producing the film. Mohit Suri will be directing the film.

 

It is learnt that for the film Balaji will be compensating Chetan Bhagat, whose book the film is based on with Rs. 5 crores along with 33% of the film's profit, while Mohit Suri who will be directing the film will receive Rs. 10 crores and 33% of the film's profit. It means that Chetan Bhagat, Ektha Kapoor and Mohit Suri will be the co producers for the film. The film’s cast and crew are yet to be decided and the pre production work of the film is currently on floors. The film will go floors next year and it will be shot in Bihar, Delhi and New York.
