Finding Fanny Picks up Gradually

Finding Fanny, this unusual quirky comedy which opened to a decent start at the box office is gradually picking up. According to the latest reports, this English movie with Bollywood stars has collected Rs 7.05 crores on Saturday summing the total collection to 12.15 crores in two days. According to the trade analysts this film has received a positive talk and is expected to register good collections. The Sunday collections have been strong and the movie managed to collect 19.90 crore in the opening weekend. For a film of this genre, it is a good enough start and one waits to see the kind of distance that it eventually covers.

 

Finding Fanny is a satirical film which revolves around the lives of five dysfunctional characters living in a sleepy village in Goa. Directed by Homi Adajania, this quirky comedy also features Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapor, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah. The film was released in two versions – Hindi and English. While, the Hindi version contributed decent amount, its English version that showed remarkable growth in its business at multiplexes. The performances of the lead pair have been received well and the movie has been screened to the Bollwood celebrities and received well.
